Singer Otis Junior and producer Dr. Dundiff (Done Different) have been a duo since 2016; meeting at an open mic event and bonding over their love for soul music right away. With songs such as “The 1” and “Me vs. Me” the two established a Neo-Soul sound of their own, which was then heard by listeners all over the globe and accumulated millions of streams. “Rising With It” is their 2nd EP after two successful and wildly acclaimed albums via Jakarta Records, delivering a refreshing take on their beloved Neo-Soul/R&B sound, blending all the styles they’ve touched on in the past few years and reflecting their latest developments as artists and people and where they stand in 2020.
Their 1st single „When It’s Sweet“ - another perfect match between Otis’ smooth, soothing voice & Dr. Dundiff’s soulful production - deals with the all well known ups & downs of a loving but complicated relationship and reminds you that that not everything that is good to you is not necessarily good for you. The song will be visualized and accompanied by a video from up and coming filmmakers Mike Thompson and Thomas Johns and will be released on September 18th. The EP’s 2nd single “You And Me” comes with a much faster tempo and features versatile singer, songwriter and befriended artist J.Lamotta and happens to be a lovely duet about "stop looking for a better time" & striving for "finding that flow of things" instead.
The EP is limited to 300 copies, containing all instrumentals on the flipside and a download voucher inside.

There’s something about Suff Daddy’s rhythmic beats that keep me coming back for more. They are jazzy and melodious, which is the perfect combination for absent-minded head nodding. Wish I could host Suff at my Burning Man camp. Next year? helloarchitect

Her website says her music is informed by J Dilla, Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye, and Aaliyah (and word, I can totes hear all four in there)--that kind of mixture of influences is my jam! This is a phenomenal modern soul album. Don't sleep on this! World of Echo
